What A Character!

This little girl had me in stitches today.  It is a real study to see what is different from week to week, and to wonder who taught her that, or is she making it up!

Our "growling" from last week (actually more like a bad imitation of Donald Duck) took top spot this afternoon. Izzie initiated it and then would follow suit every time I did it to her.
She has a new "smile" which must have come from some real hamming it up over Easter, I guess. It might look ferocious but it's really full of fun.

Izzie is walking across the room now...sometimes wobbly, but walking.
We played peek-a-boo by taking turns hiding under one of her burb cloths. That was fun for both of us.
My favorite photos from today are of nap time. You just never know what you'll see!

Here's my Easter bow and big girl sweater.

This is my new ham it up smile.
All fun, wrinkled nose and all.

I'm going to ask Great Gram for a pillow one of these days.

Just ran out of steam.  Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Cha Cha Cha Changes

This little girl is changing so quickly now - just learning so much.
Izzie says, "Uh Oh" all the time now when things drop on the floor, etc.
She was making a lot of new growling noises with me this afternoon.
Izzie is doing great drinking water from this cup.
And biggest of all today, she decided that it was time to start walking -
nine months + one day old!

I can drink water from my sippy cup now.

What should I play with next?

Mommy wants me to practice wearing a bow for Easter.

I think it's time to get these legs walking.
Note:  those little legs took their first two
unassisted steps this afternoon - after leaving Great Gram's.

Just Hanging Out

Izzie has six teeth now...4 up and 2 down.
She was having some teething pain the other day;
I'm not sure whether it was from the new ones or others that are still unseen.
All I know is
that when you stick your finger in her mouth to apply numbing gel,
you'd better get out fast...those little teeth can really chomp down hard!

Munching away on some yogurt treats.

Oh, Great Gram...how many pictures of me do you need?

Late Post

I'm a little late in posting this time.  Just too much going on lately.

Izzie and I had fun last week during our time together.
She is crying more when Mom leaves, though.
Another phase...hope it doesn't last too long.

Every week she is a little different in looks and actions.
Savor each day!

A few left over tears after Mom left.

What a big girl!
How fast this happened.

Busy Day

Izzie looked really cute yesterday in a wine colored sweat outfit with cute ribbon flowers.

We had a busy day, even though she seemed tired.  Iz took a nice morning nap.  Then Grandma, who has been enjoying a week off work, came for lunch.  Grandma and I had Chipotle; Izzie had applesauce and rice cereal and some little sweet potato flavored nibble things.

Izzie later had an afternoon nap, and then Izzie, Mom, and I went to get some baby shoes. This was Izzie's first time in a mall.  A train with kids riding in it was going around the mall, which passed us twice.  I can't even imagine what was going through our little girl's mind!  She was an angel in the shoe store even though we had to wait a while.  I can hardly wait to see her in her shoes.

Grandma and Great Gram...
why are you two always clowning around
trying to make me laugh?
You both look silly.

This little fish is one of my favorite things.

Getting Comfort from Grandma

Here's sick little Izzie getting some comfort and rest in Grandma's arms.

Isabella Comes for a Visit

Poor Izzie has a cold/virus thing this week.  Isabella is just getting over this.  Hope everyone didn't share new germs when the two girls got together for a while on Saturday.  We're still in quest of a really fun play date...it's always something!  Fun to see the two little ones together though.

Hope everyone's feeling a little better today.

Little Izzie not feeling well on Thursday.

A little bit of play time Saturday morning.
Checking each other out.

The end of a long day, with a long ride home coming.
