This Cracks Me Up!

Here is Izzie,
very involved in one of her Christmas books,
and very laid back in the rocking chair I gave her for early Christmas.
Too cool for school!
Gotta love it!

Pre Christmas Thru a Toddler's Eyes

Here are some photos I took December 14th
that I haven't had a chance to post.
I will post our early Christmas photos
over the weekend.

Merry Christmas, Everyone.

This was Izzie's first time meeting Frosty and
being serenaded by him.
It was love at first sight!

I know this might sound crazy,
but it looks like Frosty is just as happy
to sing and play for Izzie
as she is watching and listening!

Recent Photos

Wow, I am really behind in posting to this blog.

Here are a few photos I have taken of Izzie in the past couple of weeks.

Boo!

Iz in a Halloween shirt,
with her favorite, Elmo, in the background.
Here comes Great Gram,
getting in my face with that camera again.

This looks like a friendly ghost to me.

I like when Grandma lets me watch Elmo on her tablet.

Oooh, it's really getting good now.
It takes my mind off these new teeth that are popping through.

October Fun in the Sun

Two days ago, during our first sunshine of October,
Izzie, Mom, and I went to the pumpkin patch -
suburban style.  (aka Uncle John's Plant Farm)
We want to share our fun with you here:

Great Gram just loves October.

Hmmm, what is this?

I told Izzie this was Uncle Gary.

Sittin' in the pumpkin patch...sort of!

I like this bumpy one.
(They are calling these knuckle heads this year!)

Takin' time to smell the flowers.

Girls' Afternoon Out

We had a fun get together today, on this perfect September afternoon.  Kyle, Izzie, and I met Terri and Lindsey for lunch.  We were entertained for an hour and a half non-stop by Izzie.  You would think the child hadn't eaten in three days!  With that cute face, anything she does is lovable and amusing.  Will this still be true when the terrible twos arrive?

After lunch we came back here.  Grandma, Mom, Aunt, and I recorded one of those Hallmark books for Izzie that you record yourself reading.  Everyone was a little recorder shy, and we had one episode of almost laughing, but we got through it.

Then Grandma and I took Izzie into the bedroom to prepare our little surprise...a leotard and tutu for Izzie.  It cracked all of us up, and the little ham didn't bat an eye at wearing a foofie net skirt!  Here are the pictures.  Enjoy...we sure did.

Visiting Great Gram's dog that I'm not allowed to touch.

Having fun in this new outfit.

With Aunt Lindsey.
Starting to get sleepy.
I skipped out on my nap today.

My ballet partner, Grandma.

Great Gram got these little pumpkins...just my size.

The End...
of a fun afternoon.

We're Back

I got behind in posting here.
Inexcusable!
Nothing is more important than this.

Here are three photos I took a couple of weeks ago.
Seems long ago, since Iz is dressed for hot weather
and we are definitely into fall weather now.
I guess I'll never see her wear this cute summer outfit again.

Eeew, she says.
Izzie is happy about something!

Hmmm, what should I do now?

Eeew, eeew...she's really being entertained by something now.
Probably Elmo or Cureous George.
Love this little face!

Girl Curls

The curls are coming, the curls are coming.
Humidity helps, but it certainly looks like the curls are coming!

We had fun this week.
Iz only cried half heartedly for about twenty seconds
when her mom was leaving.

She was doing a lot of running...
always in a hurry to go to the next thing
that peaks her interest.
She is doing really well on stepping up and down a step on her own;
not perfect, but really good.

Izzie had what probably was her first taste
of a Boston Cooler (Rootbeer Float, Black Cow).
Once she discovered what it tasted like,
she drank her little sample until it was gone.

Every week a little smarter and a little sweeter.

A little dreamy eyed after being out partying the night before!

Attitude

Here are a couple of photos taken before we went to see Granny yesterday.
Izzie thought it was going to be her day to stay with me,
and was giving us some grief about that.

Still in a little snit after throwing a fit about coming to my house.  8-(

Sitting by the hydrangeas.
It was a perfect summer day yesterday.

A Visit with Great, Great Granny

Izzie, Kyle, and I went to visit Great, Great Granny yesterday.
The very young and the very old are good companions.

Tickling Great, Great Granny.  It made all of us smile!

Getting to know each other again.

Izzie showing GGG one of her bears that is usually across the room from her.

Lazy Days of Summer

Too hot to spend much time outside lately.
Here are a couple of pictures from last week just hanging out with Izzie.

Just sittin' like Great, Great Aunt Jan
and watchin' Elmo.

Is this the start of little girl curls?  I hope so.

La La La La

Four generations of our five went to lunch yesterday.
Unfortunately, due to problems that won't be mentioned here,
it wasn't the best of times.

However one of the bright spots provided by our one year old
was when she was singing the "Elmo" song,
which is mostly "La La La La"  which requires a lot of tongue action.

Dog Days of Summer - Toddler Style

Izzie started her morning with a case of "the terrible twos"...
and it's two weeks until her first birthday.
I guess we all have our days.

After her nap...only thirty minutes long...she was her own sweet self.

Hot, humid...dog days.

Ya, I'm cool.

I think I have some more teeth about to pop through.  Ouch!

Busy Izzie

An Early Birthday Celebration

We decided to have an early first birthday party for Iz a couple of weeks ago when Great, Great Aunt Jan was in town.  (She doesn't seem old enough to have two Great Greats!)

Here are some photos from this little celebration.

These are a few of my favorite things.

Oh, bother...clothes!

Now this is really something I like.  Kitty.

Hangin' with Daddy.

Ewwwwwww!

I just polished off half a cupcake...maybe a piece of birthday cake now?
After all, it is my first.

The one year cupcake.
Izzie hadn't had a chance to practice
blowing out the candle yet.
 Happy Early Birthday, Little Izzie.....

A Little Laughter Again!

I was treated to some giggles from Izzie first thing Thursday morning.  What a treat.  While Mom was still here Izzie was very amused by something "Puppy" was saying and was giggling away.  So cute.

Friday she went to the zoo with Mom and Aunt Lindsey.  Wish I could have seen how that went.  Lots of fun firsts, with a big one coming up next month.

Mommy and Puppy...two of my favorites!

Giggles with Puppy.
What a fun way to start the day.

The Many Faces of Iz

We had some new adventures last week, the most memorable for me is that I finally got to hear this little girl laugh!  This was a first for me and something I'd been looking forward to for ten and a half months.  I heard Izzie was giggling again this past weekend...this is good.

Here are some of the many moods I saw last Thursday:

What should we do?

No, I don't want to do that right now.

Those landscaping machines are loud.

Time to chill a little.

That was a good one, Great Gram.
