Monday, Monday

Izzie arrived kind of in a Monday mood this morning.  I usually don't watch her on Mondays.  She seemed a little tired much of the day, as many of the rest of us do.  She had good reason, though, as she had been busy cutting teeth over the weekend.

I loved this little light blue top that she wore - a hand me down that was recently passed on to her.  The top was soft and cuddly - perfect for a cold day in March.

No trick photography -  Izzie's crib is next to a mirror!
In case you never noticed that I have big, blue eyes,
this outfit will point that out.

I can't quite figure out all these attachments.

March - In Like a Lamb

March came in for most of us like a lamb this year.
Izzie was like a lamb yesterday, too.

First she played a little,
then had her morning bottle and slept for about an hour.

I like to chew on the nubs on these animals
that Great Gram just bought for me.

Oh, my socks came off again.
Great Gram's going to be worried
about my cold piggies!

Then after  fighting an afternoon nap earlier,
Izzie couldn't last any longer
and had to catch twenty winks.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Pretty In Pink

Izzie arrived this morning full of smiles and pretty in pink.

What will we do today, Great Gram?

Floor exercises.

Elmo got to come to meet FiFi today.

Changes

Izzie is so different from just two weeks ago.  She crawls all over the place now, and continues to do the yoga position where you are on all fours.  I think she thinks she can stand up any day now...NOT!

When she crawled off her blanket and was reaching out for a book, she looked up at me like she was expecting me to say "no" which I did.  She obviously has been hearing some of that at home now that she is mobile.  Smart little cookie!

We went out for our first walk of the year.  It was mid 50's but very windy, so we didn't go too far for our first time out.

Had lots of fun.  Still didn't hear any giggles, though.

Ready to roll!

This doesn't look good.

Having fun.

Biggest smile of the day was for Elmo on TV.  Oh well.

Visiting Great, Great Granny

Today Kyle, Izzie, and I braved the frigid temperatures and went to visit Granny.

We also took a trip to Carter's, armed with 20% off coupons; Izzie made out like a bandit!

Here are some photos from our visit with Granny.

I think I've been here before, but it's hard to remember.

Checking each other out.  86 years vs. 6 months.

Hanging out, holding hands.

Fun

It's fun to see all the things Izzie knows and is able to do from one week to the next.  We did a lot of mimicking each others sounds today.  And it seems like she knows how to do pat, pat, pat...on the arm of a chair or on my hand.

Izzie played energetically for about 45 minutes on the floor.  I was getting tired of setting her back up...she can't quite get from a lying down position back to sitting up on her own yet.

She also had great fun playing with Puppy and bouncing in her chair.

It was 9 degrees when Izzie came this morning, after two days of a big storm.  It got to about 27 this afternoon, with wall to wall sunshine.  Life is good!

Kinda sleep already this morning.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm ready for some fun now!

Why don't you come down, Great Gram?

Still won't get on the floor with me?
